12u  TEAM  INFORMATION

The Metro Express Junior Olympic Fastpitch program is looking for girls who are 12 years old or younger who are interested in playing on a fastpitch traveling tournament team.

The team will travel in the Mid Atlantic region to participate in NSA & ASA Junior Olympic 12u tournaments such as the NSA Pennsylvania State Championships and  several prestigious Invitational Tournaments.

The 12u team will play a Fall outdoor schedule in the Western PA area of 3 tournaments as well as a winter indoor schedule.

Tournaments are played on weekends. The out of town tournaments will require travel on 2 or 3 weekends in June and July.  A time commitment of approximately 2 days a week for practice and games will be required with the out of town tournament weekends being extra.  The 12u team will play a schedule of approximately 65 games.

We are looking for athletes who are motivated and have the desire to participate on a highly competitive level that will enhance their skill development. The Metro Express program will stress skill development and will provide the instruction required to achieve that skill development. All players will have the opportunity to advance to the 14u  Metro Express team when their age permits.

We do charge a player fee, however all team related expenses such as lodging, meals and uniforms are covered by the fee. No additional expense is required.

The team will travel in the Mid Atlantic region to participate in NSA & ASA Junior Olympic 16u tournaments such as the NSA Pennsylvania State Championships and  several prestigious Invitational Tournaments.

The 16u team will play a Fall outdoor schedule in the Western PA area of 4 tournaments as well as a winter indoor schedule.

The 16u team will play a schedule of approximately 75 games.

A time commitment of approximately 2 days a week for practice and games will be required with the out of town tournament weekends being extra.

The Metro Express  Junior Olympic Fastpitch program is looking for girls who are 18 years old and younger who are interested in playing on an NSA & ASA Gold fastpitch traveling team this summer.

The 18u Metro Express is Western Pennsylvania's longest running Junior Olympic Fastpitch program. We have for the last 24 years been one of the elite teams in the Mid Atlantic region of the ASA.

The team travels extensively all over the North Eastern United States to participate in college exposure tournaments and the most prestigious Invitational Tournaments as well. These tournaments provide the highest level of competition available as well as the opportunity to qualify for a berth to the NSA World Series or ASA National Championships.

Overall we play a very aggressive schedule that including tournament weekends will provide approximately 75 to 80 games during the season.

If you are interested in playing on a team that can enhance your fastpitch skills and provide exposure to college coaches that will enhance your athletic scholarship possibilities, the METRO EXPRESS Gold Is The Program For You. We require a tremendous commitment from our players. All together games, practice and tournament weekend travel will require 3 or 4 days a week during June and July.
